On November 1, 1973 at around 9
PM Heather was born in Davenport, IA. She grew up in a small town called
Eldridge, that had the population of around 1,400. She has one older
sibling, Tiffany that helped guide her through childhood.
Heather moved from Iowa to
Arizona in 1984 with her family, and she has been there ever since. She had
competed in pageants since the young age of 13, and in 1992 won the title of
Miss Arizona Teen USA so went on to represent her state at the Miss Teen USA
Pageant.
Heather was also a member of
"Dance Team USA" and represented the US at the Summer Olympics in Barcelona,
Spain in 1992. That year was a very busy one for Heather, as she also
graduated with honors from High School and having earned an academic
scholarship she embarked on her college career shortly thereafter. After
many hours in Chemistry labs, ultimately she graduated with honors from
Arizona State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Human
Nutrition and Dietetics.
Shortly after obtaining her degree,
Heather went on to win the title of Miss Arizona USA 2000 and represented
her state at the Miss USA Pageant.
Winning the title of Miss
Arizona USA opened up many doors for Heather, and she swung them wide open
when she started fitness modeling and is now a spokesperson for many
different companies and enjoys modeling full time.
Heather also puts her degree to
work as part owner of a nutritional supplement company that focuses on
prevention and wellness.
Being the spokesmodel for companies such as Champion Nutrition, Femme
Athletic, DietBlends, and many others has afforded Heather the opportunity
to travel the world, to make so many friends and fans, and to build a very
impressive resume and portfolio. "For the past 3 years I have been so
fortunate to work with such great companies.
Every year I look forward to
being a part of the Arnold Classic in Columbus and the Olympia in Vegas
along with my friends and co-workers at Champion Nutrition. I always have
such a great time meeting different people, and I enjoy experiencing all of
the sights and sounds at the shows."
Recently she realized a long
term goal of shooting for the cover of Muscle & Fitness Magazine. Heather
said, "In 1993 I tore my ACL and subsequently gained 35 pounds because I was
immobile after I injured my knee. In 1997 decided I was tired of being
overweight and set about to lose the weight I had gained since my injury. It
was a long hard road, but I did it and was rewarded in 1999 with the "Best
in Swimsuit" award at the Miss Arizona USA pageant. So, when Muscle &
Fitness called and asked me to shoot for the cover of their magazine...it
was definitely a thrill and made me so proud that I had earned such an
honor".
Heather enjoys competing, and
most recently was awarded 4th Place in the Ms. Bikini America competition
(held in conjunction with the Ms. Fitness America Pageant) in Redondo Beach,
California. Calendars, posters, magazine covers, catalog, print and runway
modeling are also on Heather's extensive resume. She is a very diverse and
unique woman, to find out more information about her please visit her web
